This course is an introduction to the hairdressing industry. In this year you will be learning the foundations of Hairdressing to equip you with skills to progress you to level 2 or an apprenticeship pathways.
These skills will enable you to take on a full Level 2 qualification next year.
The level 2 Public service course provides the ideal stepping stone into a wide range of exciting careers in the uniformed services, including the Army and police force. You will benefit from the expertise of teachers who also have backgrounds in the armed forces and other Public services.
This qualification includes four mandatory units that form the fundamental knowledge and understanding of travel and tourism principles. Specialist units that complement the course offers the opportunity to extend knowledge and understanding of the sector and deepen and enhance practical vocational skills for example by planning and working with others to deliver a travel and tourism study visit you will have the opportunity to demonstrate the ability to be able to work in the travel and tourism sector.
This qualification is aimed at those who would like to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to progress in to a career as Air Cabin Crew. The aim of this qualification is to allow learners to develop and practise the skills required to progress in this sector and support the skills needed within the aviation industry, with increased lifelong learning opportunities.
Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design
The UAL Awarding Body Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design has been designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to further study and training in a range of art and design subjects, including fine art, photography, graphic design, textiles with fashion product design and design crafts. The qualification's structure provides a linked introduction to the broad context within which art and design activity sits.
The qualification is made up of 9 Units, 7 Units are mandatory and 2 Units are Optional. All units are related to the art and design sector, all are delivered through vocational learning.

The BTEC Public Services Level 3 course is aimed at students who would like to join either the emergency services or the armed forces. The programme of study and activities allows participants to develop a good level of awareness before deciding on their future career. he skills developed on this programme will enable learners to meet changing circumstances, whether they arise from a shift in their own sphere of employment, promotion to supervisory or management roles, or from general changes in the public services environment.
This qualification is the second year of the level 3 two year programme in Travel and Tourism. Most units in this year are internally assessed which means assignments will be assessed within each of the units you study. The course is designed to support progression to further studies with the primary purpose to supporting access to Higher Education within the Leisure, Travel and Tourism Sector. During this course there will be the opportunity to research how to develop successful marketing plans for use in organisations and investigate current travel trends and key issues affecting the industry. You will examining the structure and leadership styles used within the accommodation sectors well as analysing the UK as a tourist destination for both inbound and domestic tourists.
